"Chinese Drama Poems" translated by William Dolby was finally self-published in this edition in 2009, the original translations having been undertaken by Bill many decades earlier. This work represents the 25th of 33 of the Chinese Culture Series.

The poems that are the backbone of Chinese dramas were composed whole, but in print are often split up by speech. So to highlight the integral poems, this collection of translations, from a few Yuan dynasty Variety Play dramas, presents their arias and shih-poems as whole poems, retrieving them more fully as constituents of the overall Chinese poetic tradition.
